End of Tour Recording Session behind the Bus. February 2011, New Zealand.
Played as a final song at the Tui Farm Folk Festival, our first gig of 2011, and a wonderful herald (I hope) of things to come - we had a whale of a time, the audience loved it, and we started a lovely relationship with assorted folk-festival organisers and their behind-the-scenes powerhouses which will hopefully be alive and well many years hence. It's a great little festival, friendly, fun, colourful, kiwi, and just a little strange! Perfect for us, really!
With the help of the wonderful musicians from Felix Meyer... Olé for Olaf on the guitar, Benjamin (Jammin' Ben) on the accordion, Nick the Stick on the drums... you guys rock, thanks! Stuttgart Königstrasse is just such fun that we took what was supposed to be a pub-gig and had it outside the pub in the street instead, as a curtainraiser for Felix Meyer (check him out at www.felixmeyer.eu). ...and a jolly fine time was had by all!
